    Our staff can develop, plan, and support the implementation of initiatives to lead your organization towards inclusion. Through an interactive process, we will help you leverage the human potential in your organization to identify ways to proactively engage employees.
    If your organization is facing a particular challenge, VCIC can help participants to consider their own identities and develop an action plan to overcome the barrier. Our expertise is in areas that are related to diversity and inclusion such as employee recruitment/retention and cross-cultural communication. We can also help you to identify innovative ways that staff members can truly engage each other across lines of difference that include ability status, age, gender, race, sexual orientation, and socio-economic status.
    The Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities is composed of a cadre of speakers available to address special events. Topics include the value of diversity, recruitment and retention of a diverse workforce, and cross-cultural communication.
    VCIC can help grow the capacity of your current workforce through experiential workshops and trainings. By working with your employees and staff, the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities will assist in developing successful and inclusive leaders, which will increase employee retention and grow your organizational capacity.
    VCIC’s staff of trained professionals is available to facilitate critical meetings that take place within your organization. By making sure that there is space for diverse voices and using key tactics to create a safe space for diverse learning and communication styles, we can ensure that your meetings are constructed to leverage the ideas and expertise of your entire staff.
    VCIC specializes in developing multi-day retreats that support teambuilding efforts within a department or a particular level of an organization. Through retreats, we are able to support your team in making a significant investment towards increasing your organization’s relevance and viability.
    Through the review of relevant procedures and processes and other data collection methods, VCIC can assist you in determining the current state of your organization and identify opportunities to grow in the direction you choose.
    In order to ensure that you can sustain the change that you seek to make within your organization, the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities can prepare your diversity committee or selected staff members to train others so that the knowledge gained by one cohort can be disseminated.
    Through the Workplace Inclusion Network (WIN), the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities convenes professionals who support or lead diversity and inclusion efforts within their organizations. These gatherings provide a unique opportunity for D&I leaders to hear from experts in the field and share best practices with one another while networking with professionals from across the region.
