DDD Lynchburg – Student Registration
Congratulations! Your child has been nominated to attend the Lynchburg Diversity Dialogue Day (DDD), scheduled for March 3, 2026. The Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities has proudly conducted this program for high school students in Richmond for over 15 years, and you can find reports from previous programs here.
This program is offered for free to Lynchburg-area schools and there is no cost for your child to attend! DDD is conducted by the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities and hosted at the University of Lynchburg.
Diversity Dialogue Day is a one-day youth leadership forum that takes participants through a process of awareness to action. The 2025-2026 theme is Standing Up to Stereotypes. Students will learn to recognize prejudice and intolerance, and ways to respect others. They will work closely with their peers from a wide range of ethnic, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds attending public and independent schools throughout Lynchburg. Trained facilitators guide the students through small group learning activities that explore personal experiences while helping them recognize ways to stand up for themselves and others. At the conclusion of Diversity Dialogue Day, participants develop strategies for increasing awareness and promoting inclusion within their schools.
Transportation will be arranged by your student’s school. Lunch is provided by the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities, and every effort will be made to accommodate any dietary restrictions listed on this registration form.
Please complete the registration form to ensure your child’s registration by February 20, 2026.
If you have any questions, please contact VCIC’s Administrative Programs Coordinator, Haley Taylor, at [email protected].
We look forward to the chance to work with your child on March 3!

Upon request made at least four (4) weeks before the event, VCIC commits to:
- Provide venue layout information including nearest parking and accessible entrances.
- Provide large-print handouts and/or support interpreters brought by schools to accompany student participants.
- Offer a meal accommodating dietary restrictions.
