Congratulations!  Your child has been nominated to attend the annual Richmond Diversity Dialogue Day (DDD), scheduled for October 30, 2025. The Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities has proudly conducted this program for high school students in Richmond for over 15 years, and you can find reports from previous programs here.

Diversity Dialogue Day is a one-day youth leadership forum that takes participants through a process of awareness to action. The 2025-2026 theme is Understanding Stereotypes. Students will learn to recognize prejudice and intolerance, and ways to respect others. They will work closely with their peers from a wide range of ethnic, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds attending public and independent schools throughout the Richmond area. Trained facilitators guide the students through small group learning activities that explore personal experiences while helping them recognize ways to stand up for themselves and others. At the conclusion of Diversity Dialogue Day, participants develop strategies for increasing awareness and promoting inclusion within their schools.

Thanks to support from Dominion Energy, there is no cost for your student to attend! Transportation will be arranged by your student’s school.  Lunch is provided by the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities, and every effort will be made to accommodate any dietary restrictions listed on this registration form.
