DDD Lynchburg – Volunteer Registration

Home 9 Take Action 9 Volunteer 9 DDD Lynchburg – Volunteer Registration

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the 14th annual Lynchburg Diversity Dialogue Day, which will be held at the University of Lynchburg on March 14, 2023!

Thanks to generous donors, this program is offered for free to local schools! While at DDD, groups of 25-35 high school students experience workshops facilitated by co-facilitator teams made up of community facilitator-volunteers. Facilitators come from a variety of backgrounds and professions, all with a shared interest in working with young people to promote inclusion and respect.

As a volunteer, you will be asked to commit to co-leading a small group of students through their sessions on March 14, 2023 from 7:30 AM – 2:00 PM. There will be scheduled breaks for stretching and for lunch during these times. Facilitators are also required to attend a mandatory facilitator training held at the University of Lynchburg on March 13, 2023 from 5:30 – 8 PM. Training will be discussion-based and participatory. Dinner will be provided starting at 5 PM.

Please complete the application by February 14, 2023. Once you are registered, you will receive information regarding training on March 13, 2023.
